I love to walk!!! 15 years ago, I found myself in pain when I walked more than a couple of miles. I was really upset. I could tell my movement patterns weren't serving me when I walked.
I went on a search to find out what I could do to walk myself out of pain. My search led me to a brilliant movement therapist named Dr. Suki Munsell. Dr. Munsell created Dynamic Walking to help her with her own pain. I learned and started to teach Dynamic Walking. I did get out of pain. And a welcome side effect was a tighter tummy and slimmer thighs.
Adding walking poles was a natural and welcome progression. You get a complete body workout just by adding walking poles with correct technique. I loved that it allowed everyone regardless of fitness level to get a wonderful workout in a short amount of time.
